Body found floating in water at Hermann Park

A passerby spotted a body Wednesday morning floating in a body of water at Hermann Park, according to Houston firefighters.

A person called 911 around 10:10 a.m. reporting the body, which Houston Fire Department sources say appears to be a man. Paramedics and Houston police officers scoured the park to find the body.

The caller told dispatchers the body was in the reflection pool at the Japanese Gardens section of the park, although it is unclear if that is where the body was discovered.

Houston police homicide detectives are looking into the man’s death.

Anyone with information is urged to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
