Laredo man pleads guilty to strangling kitten

A man who strangled a kitten to death has pleaded guilty in the 406th District Court, according to court documents.

On Monday, Kevin Miguel Turner, 19, pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.

He received a probated sentence of three years. He was granted deferred adjudication and was placed in the Mental Health Court Docket, according to court records.

Laredo police officers responded on Sept. 7, 2018, to the 200 block of West San Pedro Street. Police said Turner had gotten into a heated argument with a relative. Turner then strangled a kitten to death. Officer’s then found the kitten’s body in the driveway of the home.
